The brushing unit itself is of good quality and works well.
Its a little slow for my tast but newer faster units are already out.

The Oral Irrigator or what have you, just stinks, mine wouldnt shut off for about a week at one time, leaving me to leave it unpluged. I figure the switch is bad.

Anyway the weak pressure couldnt blow anything off your teeth,
unless your riddled with serious gum disease you will hardly feel it after the first uses.
Its why i bring it down to only 3 stars.

Get just the brush alone, with a differnt water system if youd desire one.

I have been using mine for 1.5 years now. The irrigator works quite well if you have some reasonably-large gaps between your teeth. (You can find this out by flossing yourself once.) However, it still will not get the food residue that gets stuck between the teeth. So keep your dental floss around.

Mine actually broke once during the warranty period (1 year). The pipe that leads to the irrigator handle is plastic and it loses its flexibility due to age. As a result it breaks due to the twisting force in the coil. So be ware.

I have also decided that if it breaks the second time, then I will just switch back to flossing. Using this irrigator doesnt save me time and I really find flossing more effective.

The irrigator is a little bit overkill, I just bought it because it was in my goldbox and I cant resist a sale. I like the toothbrush a lot though.

I was impressed at the looks, I was impressed with ecerything except the quality after using a oral hygene waterpik for several years, I had a 2nd one in less than 1 year and it has quit working, too much money and inconvenience for the ,

i have to agree the oxyjet is not all that it is cracked up to be but the 3d plaque remover is great. its smaller than its predecssors so its great for travelling with too. Before I had problems keeping my teeth clean but now i dont and i have not had cavities in 7 years.

This plaque remover and oral irrigator set is INSANE. My teeth have never felt so pristine--even during my boiling water and baking soda phase.

After a good one-hour session with my new Braun Oral-B OC15525X 3D Plaque Remover and Oxy Jet Oral Irrigator Set, its to the point where I dont want to use my teeth for eating anymore.

My husband and I have used Braun electric toothbrushes/irrigators for many years. However, this latest model is the very best ever. Its new technology offers gentler brushing and irrigation, but both seem to provide more thorough cleansing. Its new timer is great...lowering of speed while brushing. I have purchased this new Braun toothbrush for several other family members also.

The OxyJet is useless. I had a very useful WaterPik 10 years ago which had 10 times the force than this OxyJet. Picked the Braun this time because of packaging and of their reputation and past experiences with their other products. Huge dissappointment with Braun. The only thing this is good for, is for my kid to play with.

The 3D plaque remover on the other hand is great. But skip this product and you can get 2 plaque removers.

I must also agree that the Oxy Jet Oral Irrigator isnt a good as it could be. I never liked the old Water Picks because the pressure was set too high. however, the highest setting for the Oxy Jet Oral Irrigator is still too low. After I used the oral irrigator, I went back and flossed and found the irrigator missed some stuff. If you dont floss regularly, the irrigator is better than nothing but it doesnt beat flossing. Even my dentist agreed and suggested that I continue using floss. This, of course, makes the irrigator unnecessary and a waste of money. I love the toothbrush/plaque remover so next time Ill only purchase it and save myself a couple of bucks.

This is the second Braun dual toothbrush/irrigator system that I have bought. The old one was wonderful, but it finally wore out and I replaced it with the newer model. I am delighted with the improvement in the toothbrush, but am very disappointed in the oxy-jet irrigator. I have two complaints. The first complaint, which will apply to everyone, is that the water-tips clog easily and dont supply a strong stream of water after perhaps a month of usage. As far as I know, there is no way to get replacement tips. The second complaint, which may not concern everyone, is that the power of the water stream is MUCH reduced from the older discontinued model. While such a soft stream may be preferred by those with tender gums, it makes it very difficult to really clean deeply. I remember with the older model, it took several days to build up my tolerance for the strongest power setting, but after I did there was nothing like the way it really cleaned my mouth. I miss that. Im looking for a better system to try out. Ill either try the Braun interclean device or try another companys oral irrigator.

Reviews of Oral B OC15525X Oxy Jet Oral Irrigator

I have been delighted with my purchase of this device. The 2-speed toothbrush has a small rotating head that is easy to manuvuer and effectively cleans all surfaces of the teeth. It has a handy built-in timer that tells you when two minutes has elapsed so you know when you have reached the four minutes of brushing time most dentists recommend. Its even smart enough that you can shut it off for up to 30 seconds to reload your brush (or expectorate) without resetting it.

The oral irrigator will not replace flossing, it is not intended to do so. So following brushing I still spend a minute or two flossing my teeth. The oral irrigator does a fanstastic job of massaging the gums (it feels wonderful.), improving their health, and washing away bacteria under the gum line.

Water pressure is quite sufficient, higher water pressure runs the risk of damaging the delicate periodontal ligaments which attach the guns to the teeth.

Adding some hydrogen peroxide to the water or a disinfecting mouthwash makes the oral irrigator even more effective.

My dentist immediately noticed the improvement in the health of my teeth and gums when I started using this product. It only takes ten minutes at night to brush, floss and irrigate my teeth, and I have not had a cavity since I started using this product.

Highly recommended.

Oral B OC15525X Oxy Jet Oral Irrigator-Product description

This set provides a family with two superior oral hygiene devices in a compact counter stand (which can also be mounted on a wall). First, theres an electric toothbrush with color-coded brush heads (two are included. more can be ordered) that pulsate in and out while also rapidly oscillating to scrub away plaque. Two sets of extra-long bristles on the brush heads sides clean deep between teeth. A sensor automatically stops the high-speed pulsations if too much pressure is being applied. Second, theres an irrigator that mixes air and water (or mouthwash) to create a stream of microbubbles that attack plaque-causing bacteria between teeth and along gum lines. A switch offers a choice between a straight stream or a stream that rotates 8,000 times per minute. You can also select water pressure. The irrigator comes with four color-coded jets. Both jets and brush heads have their own storage compartments right behind their respective power handles. --Fred Brack
Instead of just brushing your teeth, irrigate them using the Braun Oral-B OxyJet, a revolutionary new way to take care of your teeth and gums. The new OxyJet enhances regular brushing by mixing air and water to attack bacteria. The head of the nozzle rotates at 8,000 revolutions per minute, providing a spiraling stream of water and micro-bubble action to reach between teeth and below the gum line - the places where bacteria hide. Switch the nozzle to a single stream for removing food particles. Comes with a specially designed air filter that enriches the water, an electronic pulse that regulates the water pressure giving you more or less as needed, and a pause switch on the handle thats easily accessible. The other wand features an improved brush head with longer tips to reach even deeper and Flexi-Soft bristles that wont irritate your gums. The head is angled so it reaches comfortably from the front to the back of your mouth. Features include a sensor that stops pulsations if too much pressure is applied, an On/Off switch on the handle for ease of use, and a grip that wont slip even when wet.
