Dental misery could finally be over for some people after a Preston surgery has revealed it has a limited number of NHS spaces available.

The mobile dental office will travel to schools and nonprofit childcare centers in Northern Kentucky that have high enrollments of lower-income students. The goal of the dental unit is to provide exams and treatment to students at their schools, children who may otherwise not have access to a dentist due to the cost, lack of insurance, or other barriers such as transportation.

The mobile dental office, staffed by a dentist and two dental assistants, will be able to see 3,000 children a year. All students at each school visited by the dental unit will be eligible for exams and follow-up treatment, with parental permission.
