On Monday 21st February 2005, the Dental White Teeth whitener Kit we sell here in the UK was featured on the Oprah Winfrey special on how to look 10 years younger in 10 days. 51 year old Rosanne Byrne told Oprah how the Dental White Kit helped transform her looks and confidence.

What does the gel taste likeThe gel has a mint taste and is quite pleasant.

What is the whitening process doing to my teethThe gel soaks into the teeths dentin and enamel. It removes stains that have penetrated into the teeth over the years by changing coloured compounds into colourless ones using an oxidation process.

What is the difference between you and the service provided by Dentists

COST, there is no difference between the gel in our whitening kits and the stuff your dentist will use, it is the same strength gel, you get the same power whitening but at a fraction of the cost.

What active ingredients does your kit contain

The gel in our kits is manufactured from a base hydrogen peroxide / carbamide peroxide gel blended down to a safe and professional dental surgery strength gel as recommended and used by dentists.

How do I know your kit is safe

The gel in our kit is reviewed, tested and approved by the FDA, Food and Drug Administration of America, there are very few kits on the market that have been tested and approved by the FDA as ours has. They have very stringent guidelines on what can and cannot be sold to the general public. The gel has been developed by DR George Madray who is a leading dentist and chemist in the States, all the peroxides used in the gel are food grade peroxides. What is the PH Level of your gelThe PH level in our gel is 6.7 to 7.2 which is considered very safe to use on all types of teeth and is a level recently recommended by the Daily Mail in a teeth whitening feature.

Is this process harmful to my teethNo, not if the procedure is followed properly. The effect on the teeth appears to be no different than the effect from commonly ingested foods or regular dental procedures.

Can I whiten my teeth while Im pregnantThere has not been sufficient testing done on the effects of using a peroxide gel while pregnant. Therefore, we recommend that you not use any whitening system, teeth whitening at home is also not recommended for anyone under 18.

How white will my teeth get
This depends on the nature of the staining and the length of the treatments. You will see dramatic shades of colour change overall. Its not unusual to lighten by several shades in the first few applications.

How soon will I see resultsIn the majority of cases almost immediately. The gel substance works very quickly, but your progress will depend on the nature and depth of your stains. The process should take from 2-3 weeks for deep yellow stains.

Can I use the kits if I have crowns or false teethYes you can use the whitening system without any effect on your porcelain/plastic caps/crowns/bridges, but it will only work on natural teeth and does not whiten any dental work.

Once I have completed the treatments, how often should I touch-upOnce you have completed your treatments, you should be at your optimum whiteness. Depending on your age and diet, your teeth will stay a bright white for many years.

How should the kit be storedThe teeth whitener kit should be stored at a temperature above freezing and under 85F and out of direct sunlight. We recommend storing the gel in the fridge, stored correctly the gel has a shelf life of about 2 years.

How to Use our Whitening Kits

Our tooth whitening kits are extremely easy to use,
and come with full instructions.

The kit comes with 2 mouth trays which will need to be moulded to fit your teeth exactly. To mould the trays they just need to be submerged in hot water to make them pliable and easy to shape to your teeth.

Once you have moulded your mouth trays it is just a case of applying a very small amount of gel to the bottom of the tray and putting the tray onto your teeth. Keep the tray in position for about 40-60 minutes before removing, wash out the tray and rinse out your mouth with warm water and your treatment is complete.

Hints and Tips

The kit will only whiten natural teeth, sometimes very dramatically.
If you have yellowed or stained front crowns or fillings, you may find it necessary to have them replaced.
Do not brush your teeth with toothpaste immediately BEFORE wearing the tray. The astringent nature of toothpaste can cause gum sensitivity.

Protect the mouth tray and whitening gel from heat and/or direct sunlight. Such heat may cause the tray to warp, the bottle of gel to swell or the gel to lose some effectiveness. Store gel below 85F. We recommend storage of the gel in a fridge.

Results from using the system may vary from user to user. Yellow stains from tea or aging respond dramatically. Blue-grey stains respond poorly. Some stains from antibiotics may be very slow to respond; but using this product over several months can show improvement.
